Lake
In order to provide a permanent source of
water supply, the Maharaja of Gwalior built Sankhya Sagar Dam across the
river Maniher in the year 1918. This lake not only add to the natural
beauty of the area but also provide a permanent source of water to the
wildlife and a fine wetland habitat to the aquatic fauna including
thousands of migratory waterfowl.

| Bhadaiya Kund
It is a ecotourism site in the National Park. There is a permanent
pool of water on the site. Boat club is also situated here. During
rainy season, waterfall starts running in full flow.

Bharkha
It is a natural water fall situated deep inside the forest. The
atmosphere here is very picturesque. The area around is thick misc
forests. It is a perennial water source for wild animals in the area.
Herds of Sambar and Leopards can be spotted at this site during summer
season. |

Bhura-kho
Jal Mandir
It
is situated right on the boundary of the Park. It is hardly 0.5 kms. on
a walking distance from the A.B. road. There is a natural water fall.
Old Hanuman and Shiv Temples surrounds the fall. It is eco-tourism cum
religious site. During rainy season, people visit here to enjoy the
natural beauty of the site.

| Sakhya Sagar
The Park is
unique in having both lake and forest ecosystems. The Sakhya Sagar and
Madhav Sagar are two lakes in the Park, which are important biodiversity
support systems. The Sakhya Sagar lake is locally called Chandpatha
also, because of its semi circular moon shape. The
local name of Madhav lake is ''Ghasari''. The Sakhya Sagar and
Madhav lake were built on the river Manihar in the year 1918 by then
Maharaja of Gwalior State.
These lakes not only add to the natural beauty of the
area but also provide a permanent source of water to the wildlife and a
fine wetland habitat to the aquatic fauna including thousands of
migratory waterfowl. Marsh crocodiles are in abundance in Sakhya Sagar
lake, due to this reason, the lake is being promoted as a “Crocodile
Safari” for tourism purpose and attracts special attention of
tourists. Boating facility in the Sakhya Sagar lake is also available
for tourists.

When
Sakhya Sagar overflows, water flows into the west wear and falls in the
gorges downwards. It creates a big water fall.

| Churanchaj
Ancient
rock paintings are carved in roofs of a hillock besides perennial water
source. The area is surrounded by thick forests of Kardhai,
Salai and Khair. Approach road is available. It is 5 kms away from the
famous Tunda-Bharkha water fall. During Maharaja times tigers were
spotted here regularly. On way to this site you can spot herds of Sambar,
Chinkara, Blue bull, Black buck etc. Leopards and Bears also occupy this
site.
